Cappucino Cakes

The cook - Mum - tried these out today, and they are just great. She decided to make fairy cakes rather than cupcakes. Her reasons? Well, fairy cakes are considered very English, which is what we're about. Plus she said if you're on a diet, or watching sugar intake for health reasons, smaller is better.

So the cake itself is flavoured with cappucino coffee, but not too strong. Mum doesn't like coffee, but it didn't stop her trying one ;) But the topping is just - well it's double cream with a kick of Irish coffee liquer :)

This one is definately going on the menu.

New Year, New Venture

Years ago, when I was 8 or 9, my Dad and I did a day trip to Calais - booze cruise :) On the way back I had the best sandwich I had ever had in my life. I became obsessed with creating the best packed lunches for school and this went on for several years.

Fast forward to now and I realised that creating really special sandwiches is something I enjoy Doesn't have to be too fancy, but good ingredients and good portions.

So here I am, New Year, New Venture. I plan to build the best sandwich and bakery delivery service in Bracknel, specialising in English and Italian food.
